Zinedine zidane talk about pogba

Speculation had suggested Paul Pogba was
the priority target for Zinedine Zidane but that
doesn’t appear to be the case. Andre Gomes
has been followed by Madrid since his
incredible debut season in La Liga and his
performances against them last season,
including a beautiful goal from the edge of the
area at the Santiago Bernabeu, has convinced
the club to make a bid.
The transfer fee - around €65m - isn’t
something which puts Madrid off either. They
see Gomes as the perfect option to give Luka
Modric a rest or even feature further forward
coming off the left wing. If this transfer did go
through it wouldn’t rule out the possibility of
Pogba signing too, but it would end Madrid’s
pursuit of N’Golo Kante .

Pep guardiola said bonucci was one of the best defender

Pep Guardiola said Leonardo Bonucci was oneof the best defenders in the world and Juventusreportedly reject a €45m Manchester City offer.

The centre-back proved his mettle once more
during Euro 2016, converting a penalty in
Italy’s 1-1 draw with Germany and starting
moves from the back with Andrea Pirlo-style
passes.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Manchester City
offered €45m for the 29-year-old defender and
wages worth €7m per year.
However, Guardiola was told in no uncertain
terms to forget about Bonucci.
He is considered a key figure in the Juventus
squad and is under contract until June 2020.
Guardiola already praised Bonucci in a Press
conference earlier this year, calling him one of
the best defenders in the world.

Naturally, Chelsea were also linked with him for
a potential reunion with ex-Italy Coach Antonio
Conte.

In an official statement, Valencia announced:
" Valencia Club de Fútbol have reached an

club for the next three seasons."
The 29 year old left Manchester United for
Fenerbahce last year and was strongly linked
with a £7m move to the La Liga side after
having impressed at Euro 2016.

Stoke City had been interested in signing the
player.

Denis Suarez has become Barcelona's first
official signing of the summer transfer
window, with the reigning La Liga champions
activating a €3.25m (£2.7m, $3.6m) buy-
back clause to re-sign him from Villarreal.
This follows on from last week's revelations
that the Catalans will sign Samuel Utiti in a
€25m deal from Lyon after the conclusion of
Euro 2016.

Mourinho said "man utd is the club every body want"

"The reality is this is the job that everyone

wants," Mourinho said.

Unlike on previous presentations at Chelsea
when the Portuguese described himself as
"The Special One" and then "The Happy One",
Mourinho did not choose a new nickname,
instead focusing on the task ahead and set
out what United fans can expect in 2016/17.
"It is difficult for me to find the right words for
this club," the manager who won three Premier
League titles with Chelsea said. "I don't like
the denomination that this is the dream job.
This is reality, I am United manager. The
reality is this is the job that everyone wants.
"Playing well is scoring more goals than the
opponent, conceding less goals and making
your fans proud by giving everything.
Jose Mourinho steps out on to the Old
Trafford pitch for the first time as Man
Utd manager
"We want everything at the same time; I want
to win matches, I want to play well, I want to
score goals, to not concede, for the fans to be
behind us.
"If in the last 10 minutes we are chasing a
result I want the fans behind us and if we are
defending a result I want the fans behind us.
We are not going to get everything, of course,
but we want to."
Boasting the best win ratio of any manager in
Premier League history, Mourinho
was determined to meet the high standards he
sets for himself.
"There are some managers that last won a title
13 years ago," he said. "Some managers have
never won a title. The last time I won a title
was one year ago. If I have a lot to prove, then
imagine the others!"
"That was never important for me; I play
against myself. I don't have to prove anything
to anyone apart from myself; that is my
nature."
Mourinho also spoke about where he sees
Wayne Rooney's best position and the
departure of Ryan Giggs after a 29-year
association with United.

MICHAEL CARRICK TO AGGREE FOR NEW CONTRACT

Manchester United is delighted to announce that Michael Carrick has agreed terms to extend his contract for a further year to June 2017.
Carrick, 34, signed for United in July 2006. During his time at the club, he has won five Premier League titles, an FA Cup, one League Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup, and a UEFA Champions League.
Michael Carrick said:
"This great club has been a part of my life for the past 10 years, so I am delighted that this incredible journey is continuing. It’s great to have the opportunity to work under José Mourinho, who has achieved so much during his managerial career. I would like to thank the fans for their unwavering support. Chicharito’s popularity demands that Bayer games are broadcast in Mexico, where fans are finding the Bundesliga a competitive alternative to popular Spanish La Liga. “Between the television and the internet, we can follow all the matches," says Felipe Almada. "I watched probably twenty of them [this season].”
To go with their Chicharito merchandise, most fans also had positive impressions of the fan favourite’s move to the Rhineland from Manchester United FC last summer. “Leverkusen gave him a chance, and he’s been great for them,” says Eduardo Salazar of Hermosillo, Mexico.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have enjoyed a surge in popularity among Mexico fans thanks to Chicharito.
Just as the quintet is unanimous in their appreciation of Hernandez, they also all seemed to agree the 28-year-old should stay at least another season at Leverkusen. “Chicharito has shown he is a top goalscorer in a very tough league,” says Almada. “If he wants to play, he should stay in the Bundesliga.”

Arnautovic the destiny of swansea promotion

Find out why the Austrian forward was key to Stoke City recording another ninth-placed finish

Marko Arnautovic struck a collection of vital goals for Stoke City in 2015/16
Premierleague.com looks at some of the players who starred in 2015/16 without stealing the limelight.
In his third season at Stoke City, Marko Arnautovic emerged as the Potters' leading attacking outlet on their path to a third consecutive ninth-place finish in the Premier League.
With 11 goals to his name, he was the only Stoke player to reach double figures for goals throughout the 2015/16 campaign. Also providing six assists, the Austria international was directly involved in 17 strikes in total across the course of the season.

Of the 41 goals Stoke scored in the 2015/16 Premier League season, Arnautovic was directly involved in 41.5% of them. Only the Watford duo of Troy Deeney (50%) and Odion Ighalo (45%) alongside Leicester City's Jamie Vardy (44.12%) were directly involved in a higher percentage of their team's total.

Although he was most ruthless in front of goal, Arnautovic was also extremely impressive in a creative sense. He carved out 50 chances for his team-mates, the joint-most of all Stoke players alongside summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri.
He netted an acrobatic winner against Chelsea back in November as well as a quick-fire brace to defeat Manchester City a month later, with further efforts against Manchester United and Everton proving pivotal for the Potters.
As a result the Stoke squad voted Arnautovic for their Player's Player of the Season award.

The best EPL transfer of the season

Man Utd's France forward, bought from Monaco on deadline day, never looked back after a flying start

With the transfer window open, and some clubs having completed deals, premierleague.com looks at some of the best signings of last summer.
Manchester United's Premier League season may not have hit the heights many would have hoped at Old Trafford, but Anthony Martial's debut campaign gave the Red Devils huge cause for optimism.
The France striker was bought from Monaco on deadline day and quickly endeared himself to the United faithful with a goal on his debut against Liverpool.
Despite coming in with great expectations, Martial struck twice more on his first Premier League start against Southampton and continued to impress in his first season.
Only five PL players completed more successful dribbles than Anthony Martial (84) last term

He netted on 11 occasions to finish 2015/16 as United's top scorer, also providing four assists.
Furthermore, the 20-year-old successfully completed 84 dribbles, with only five Premier League players beating an opponent more times in the campaign.
Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney were the only two United players to create more chances than Martial's 36 and the forward was quick to praise his team-mate.
"Since day one that I have trained with him, I have felt that this guy has something special," Mata said of Martial. “He has everything to succeed in football at this club.
"He is quick, has goals, he can beat players one on one and he understands football."
